ROME EXPEDITION 2024
God has called this grassroots team of disciples from around the world to connect, pray, and discuss their visions for Rome. Do you hear God calling you to join us on this Expedition?

Our family adores Italy, particularly Rome. We have embraced the people, the culture, and history it so generously gives. We are eagerly anticipating witnessing God work in this remarkable city once again since it's days of the distant past. We thank God for His commission to love people while watching them draw close to God.. This is our mission from God. Come join us for this adventure of a lifetime.

Aron: I’ve experienced God’s love and community in my home church in Charleston. I want to bring what I’ve experienced to some of the 50 million Italians that live far from our only sister church. Also the food is amazing.
Lyndall: I see moving to Italy and building God’s kingdom there as an incredible opportunity to fulfill a desire of my heart that I’ve had since a little girl- to spend my life building connections between people overseas. Back then, I wanted to be an interpreter and bridge gaps between people linguistically. With God’s Spirit leading, I see that I can bridge gaps between hearts and the joy of knowing God. Aron had the dream, and God put us together knowing it would become mine as well.

Over the past few years, I have been visiting Italy frequently, and more especially Rome. Sharing my faith in Rome has shown me that there is such a need for the truth of the gospel to be spread there. So after speaking with a sister in the Milano church, Elisa Risoluti, who has family in Rome, she connected me with David Hedrick who also had a dream for Rome. It seems that God is starting to bring disciples together who have a heart for Rome and other regions of Italy where we don't have a fellowship of churches yet.

Living in Italy almost 5 years amazed me as to how Italians are so responsive to humility and willingness to deny oneself. They inherently lead a value driven life and embrace others who live and seek to do the same. I was blessed in many ways while living there, especially the miracle of meeting my family members who lived there. I can only attribute this to being God's will. After returning to America, I sustained a myriad of worldly losses which led me to my baptism into Christ November 2022. God has made it clear that He wants me to follow His ways with a new identity in Christ as a disciple. It is my hope and prayer to go back to Italy on this Expedition to lead Roman Italians on that same journey. Come join us.

Salve. We fell in love with the Italian lifestyle and the beautiful island of Sicily many years ago. After retiring, we made the move from Florida to live in Sicily in 2019. God is doing great things here. We now have a small group of disciples meeting in each others homes. We share the vision to help Romans and all the people in Italy discover a personal and deep relationship with God.

I am an Italian American. My DNA test results show that I am over 80% Italian and 100% European. Ever since I became a disciple in 1992, I have dreamt of being a part of a "Mission Team". In 2013, I explored becoming a member of the church in Milan and once I arrived in Italy, I felt like I was Home. The disciples in Milan treated me like family immediately and I have been blessed to remain connected to them ever since. Coming back to America after that trip, I was more than willing to accept "the one suitcase challenge" and .move to Milan. Unfortunately, it was not God's will for me at that time as life took many twists and turns preventing me from returning as soon as I hoped. I am a stubborn Italian and my soul hasn't given up this dream. This opportunity has come for all of us, including you, at just the right time. The Italian people need what we have been given. Please join us.
